Having a toddler visit...

....is a great way to see what needs to be changed in your house!

So far, we have determined, a rocking chair really needs to go in the nursery. A couple times this week, it would have really come in handy to help a little one who is fighting sleep.

We also are finding areas that need to be "toddler proofed". We knew there were a few areas and things that need to be made more secure. Our niece is helping us to find others :) When my friend's little one comes over to play, she's been helping us to find things too.

I guess it's time to invest in the door locks, cabinet locks, etc and all those good things :)

Too funny! One thing about having to wait so long for your little one is that you will be more prepared than any two parents ever. :) Still hoping it's sooner rather than later!

I visited my friend the other day who has a little one who is crawling and pulling herself up now. I went into my friend's bathroom and found some sort of weird contraption on the toilet seat that was apparently designed to keep the baby from getting into the toilet.

Trying to get that thing open was like splitting the atom. I had nearly decided to just pee in the tub when I finally was able to wrench the toilet seat free.

Ah...adventures in a childproof home:)

I feel like our whole house has to be baby-proofed!
